Valya’s Blog

Varna, Bulgaria is where I was born and raised. Ten years ago a small town in the Puget Sound area of Washington state became my new home. Since then I’ve traveled to Canada, Australia, several eastern and western European countries and multiple states. Today my abode is in Portland, Oregon.

Travel is one of my passions. Another is writing, though I passed up a career in journalism after little more than a year in the community newspaper business. Travel writing is one of my dream occupations. Until then I will blog as training and perhaps even use this electronic venue as a place to start my book notes for the memoir my mother has always wanted me to write.
