More procrastination and dark winter evening November 7, 2007

This week with daylight savings time over, I’ve been leaving the office after dark. It is nice in a way. I enjoy the colder evenings, the mystery that can fall over and throughout a city when the lights shine, a few trees are even lined in those strings of white-yellow Christmas bulbs. It all makes me want to curl up with a cup of something hot, be it hot chocolate, tea or apple cider, but I also feel like my days are shorter and I am less and less likely to accomplish anything productive in the evenings.
I suppose that is OK in a way – in a sense it could be the hibernation in the human world that some animals go through during this season. But where the downside is – I have not been blogging very much lately (since before this week, so the early darkness is no excuse). There is so much going on in the world lately too… it is quite stirring and worth addressing. But don’t hold your breath for a blog entry that doesn’t read like a personal diary entry. Those may come later in the winter – closer to the holidays, when time actually slows down even further and I end up reflecting on the year past, the year coming, on family and friends, life in general, etc. It may be that I might even have time to write and read more, since I have already made a good dent in my holiday shopping (yay for Amazon.com).
